WHEN AND WHERE IS WALK A MILE?
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes 2023 is scheduled for Saturday April 29th. We are meeting at Safety City at Clapp Park in Lubbock. Join us as we march to end sexual violence in our community! Both men and women are invited to march. Red high heels are available for those who wish to wear them during the walk. There will be fun and food for the entire family so register today! Registration opens at 12:00pm with the walk beginning at 1pm!
WHAT IS WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES?
It is an exciting opportunity to raise awareness in your community about the serious causes, effects, and remediations to sexualized violence. Men have the option to walk in women's high-heeled shoes to actively confront gender stereotypes and expectations.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR THE RED HEELS TO PARTICIPATE?
No, wear whatever is most comfortable for you! No heels are required to show your support! Heels are provided with registration if desired. We always love seeing men attempt to walk in the heels!
Funds raised will be used to assist victims of sexual assault / sex trafficking and assist with primary prevention programs and education in our community.
